India to Finance Three Water Projects in Sri Lanka

India has signed an agreement with Sri Lanka to provide over $400 million to finance three water supply projects in Sri Lanka. India is also engaged in the reconstruction of the Northern Railway Line in the war-ravaged Northern Sri Lanka.


India Set To Strike Power Deal With Bangladesh

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has said that it will sign a contract with Bangladesh on February 28 for setting up a 2*660MW power plant in district Khulna at a cost of USD 1.6 billion. Exim Bank, the external lending arm of the Indian government, agreed to bear 70% funding of the project’s costs at a soft interest rate of around 1% above Libor – the leading global benchmark for pricing transactions.
