Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is planning to construct tourist resorts at Naltar Valley, Mansehra, Haripur and Tarbela. It has singed MoUs with University of Management and Technology and King Edward Medical College for joint promotion of tourism in the country. MoU has also been signed with Northern Areas Transport Corporation for promotion of tourism in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Information Technology University (ITU) and the US Embassy in Pakistan has signed a MoU to establish a partnership between the university and the US Consulate General in Lahore to build Lincoln Corner on the university’s campus. Lincoln Corners are partnerships between the Embassy and Consulates of the United States of America and selected institutions in Pakistan.
Governor of Central Bank of Iran Valiollah Seif and his Pakistani counterpart Ashraf Wathra signed a MoU on banking cooperation in Islamabad. The MoU includes the establishment of banking ties and opening of mutual accounts between the central banks of the two countries in various currencies, as well as providing the necessary conditions for mutual cooperation between the central banks with an aim to facilitate commercial transactions by providing a variety of banking services as well as the use of payment systems by citizens of both countries.
