Ceylon Electricity Board invites Sealed tenders for the Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply and Install for Package 2 of double circuit transmission line.

The Ceylon Electricity Board invites sealed bids for the Procurement of Plant – Design, Supply and Install for Package 2 – Lot B1 consisting of:  Mannar – Nadukuda 30km, 220kV, twin ACSR/AW Zebra, three phase double circuit transmission line with one Optical Fiber Ground Wire (OPGW) and one Aluminium Clad Steel Wire (AS).

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Green Power Development and Energy Efficiency Improvement Investment Program (Tranche 2). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above.

International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage, Two Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The last date for bid submission is Aug 03 2016.

Nestle to Expand Sri Lanka Milk Procurement Network

Nestlé’s Sri Lanka unit is planning to expand its milk procurement network in the northern part of the country this year. It has said that, it paid 3.6 billion rupees in 2015 to almost 20,000 local farmers as payment for fresh milk to manufacture its products like Nespray, Milo and Milkmaid.
